Ground Vibration & Air Blast:

Ground Vibration & Air Blast: Prediction, Monitoring, Analysis and Consulting on ground vibration and air blast generated by blasting activities of surface and underground mining operations.

Blast Preparation Audits:

Blast preparation auditing - The Application of auditing functions can be summarized as follows:

 

The foundation of the audit schedule is nested in the following areas of concern. Namely ground vibration, air blast and fly rock. Through addressing control on aspects that cause ground vibration, air blast and fly rock it is believed that the possible damages that can be caused will be contained the best possible way. Additional to this is the effective use of resources that is required to ensure safe and effective blasting procedures.

Structure Inspections:

Pre-blast surveys on structures. Application of a Photographic survey is a means and method to ensure that good neighbor ship is practiced in situations where mining is taking place close to public structures. Good neighbors will be the ultimate goal, which is laying down the ground rules for both parties.

Seismograph Calibration:

Calibration of Seismographs and specific Instantel manufactured are done. The basic process consists of a semi automatic system that controls the Shaker & Microphone calibrator to the required amplitude and maintain at level. The proper readings can then be done from the unit and adjustments made - either via software or pots applicable. All documentation is stored directly on the computer per unit serial number and year. All dates of calibration will be captured in a database that will then again provide notices of calibrations due.
